25 agosto 1983 e altri racconti inediti

Jorge Luis Borges. Edited and with an introduction by Jorge Luis Borges
1980 I ed. . Language: Italian
A collection of short stories by Jorge Luis Borges, almost all unpublished at the time of publication, enriched with an interview by María Esther Vázquez and a detailed chronology of Borges’ life and work.
The book was printed by Franco Maria Ricci without Borges’ knowledge, to celebrate the Argentinean writer’s 80th birthday. It collects four short stories, three of which were unpublished at the time of its publication in 1980: in addition to 25 Agosto 1983, it includes The Rose of Paracelsus, Blue Tigers and A Weary Man's Utopia, included, despite having already been published, as Borges defined it as his ‘best page’ and in which one can find traces of his individualism and anarchy. The stories are dominated by two colours, Light Blue and Pink, mental colours fallen from the sky and savoured again in the depths of blindness.
